1. My goals for this week consisted of catching up from my week of sickness as well as making sure to contact people to interact with my prototypes.

2. What did you accomplish, please reflect on your time management. What worked or didn't? Timeline:

  • Week 4: 2/12 - 2/19: Sick, Didn't really do anything, stayed home on 2/19

  • Week 5: 2/19 - 2/26: Worked on finishing up the fish properties and logic. Making sure you could access names and data, making sure each one had tracking, etc.

  • Week 6: 2/26 - 3/4: Finishing up fish logic, going into coding up a mini tutorial. Took me longer than I thought to include enough logic in it for a 2nd iteration. Still need to work on it. Made this video. Beginning of the week / end of Week 5 started contacting people for HX week and review. Haven't really heard back. Did potentially get one opportunity at a school. Talked with family about what I had made, general good response. This week was all about catching up, sort of a wrap up to Week 4 and a review of the work in Week 5. I was supposed to finish a majority of code in the beginning of Week 5, but it lasted all the way until now. I am still not finished. Coding is about 85% done with most of the logic there. Saving and loading is successful but not implemented and the fish each have individual names and properties that work with functions on UI buttons. There are still a few bugs. I went through and listed the goals and which ones were completed for the week. I really didn't get a lot of response from people during UX/HX week, but it worked out because I barely finished in time for them anyways. I am supposed to be meeting with a bunch of students from my old high school soon, so I want to get their opinions on the prototypes and designs since they're in my older section of the age group, 15 and 16 years old. I had gotten sick at the beginning of Week 4: 2/12 - 2/19 and didn't spend a lot of time working. I emailed Annie on 2/19 asking to stay home. I have been trying to catch up since. My work ethic / time management could definitely be better, but I think I am working with what I've got for now, in terms of feedback from users. Updated videos for the week: Unity + Mini Tutorial + Fish Properties / Logic

3. How did you integrate feedback?   I am waiting for people to contact me about the HX portion. I didn't really code anything based on feedback, but my sisters and family said the updated prototypes did make more sense for them, especially with the text explaining things during the tutorial. Kennedy mentioned that the prototype video having caption text was good for her too because it was like I was explaining it to her without talking to her, which would be perfect to send off and let people watch on their own. I contacted a teacher from Eagle Ridge Academy, in Brighton CO I used to know, who now works in Administration. She is helping me get permission from the school to interact with the students and either send them a survey by email (which includes updated prototypes) or interact with them in person on 3/5. She is unfortunately out of the office until then.

4. What was unexpected / what lessons did you learn? Take better care of myself so I don't get sick as easily. Also that even though I love drawing as a hobby it can be really draining to try to force myself to draw sometimes.
